Hubballi-Dharwad Police Extern Rowdy Sheeter from Dharwad for Six Months
Dharwad: In a bid to maintain peace and tranquility in the city, the Hubballi-Dharwad Police have externed a notorious rowdy sheeter, Srinivas Kanakappanavar, from Dharwad for a period of six months. The 26-year-old resident of Kolikeri has been deported to Ramanagar district’s Ramanagar Town police station limits, effective from March 22nd.
Kanakappanavar was known for harassing people, threatening innocents, roaming the city with lethal weapons, and involvement in illegal activities. He had a history with the police, having been booked under the Arms Act and facing multiple cases registered against him at both Sub Urban and Town police stations. Despite opening a rowdy sheet against him at the Town Police station, his criminal activities persisted.
Keeping a close watch on Kanakappanavar, the police took the decisive step of externment to ensure public safety and a peaceful environment in Dharwad. The externment order restricts him from entering Dharwad for the next six months.
